Guidelines for Designing Backflow Prevention Assembly Installations:

Application forms may be required by your water supplier (water district). However not in all cases are application and plans mandatory, such as small residential services, so it is important to understand the policies set forth by the individual water districts. Some of the water districts you can find links to on our website menu for water districts for more details on their backflow prevention policies. Below is a sample of an engineered drawing for a new RPZ installation.

1 A New water service: In this type of installation you will need to apply for when you apply for a new water service. Here you will need to have to submita approved set of plans for the new water service as well an approval from the cross-connection department to evaluate your degree of hazard. This is a survey of the property attributes that contribute to the selected device and its installation requirements. Water King can do all your applications and submit to your water district along with proper drawings. We install fire service lines as well as domestic service lines. Above are some installation of backflow devices and below are some water service line installation pictures.
